Nestpact started with a simple frustration: nesting software was either a four-figure desktop license or a toy that only packed rectangles. We wanted the thing every job shop actually needs: upload a DXF, get a dense true-shape layout, download a file the machine can cut, all in the browser.
What shipped on day one
- DXF upload for sheets and parts, with arcs, splines, and blocks handled properly.
- True-shape nesting with configurable rotation, gap, and edge offsets.
- Hole filling: small parts nest inside the cutouts of bigger ones.
- Multi-sheet overflow when one sheet is not enough, and a live preview while the optimizer runs.
- Nested DXF download, ready for your CAM software.
Everything since (the G-code generator, 3D import, the NFP engine, the part library) builds on that foundation. This page doubles as our changelog, so you can follow along.
